i'm a small business owner in the state of MS. i recently (last month), noticed a spike in my credit card merchant fees. it ends up being 4.1% fee in addition to the regular monthly credit card merchant fees.
i was told this is for world cards....those cashback cards, rewards cards , etc.
So you are so correct, the credit card companies ARE finding ways to get around charges. Those "rewards" that the credit card holders EARN, are now being PAYED by merchants.
It, as we say in the south, BURNS MY BISCUITS, to have to pay those fees, especially since the credit card companies get credit for doing a good deed to its cardholders.
